deRSE27 - 7th Conference for Research Software Engineering in Germany¶
deRSE27, the 7th German Conference on Research Software Engineering will be held at TU Dortmund from 23-25 February 2027.
As a venue for the diverse community of people concerned with research software, it values contributions from all levels of experience and across research disciplines, geographic locations, genders, and ethnicities.
We aim for a well-balanced programme that includes a wide variety of perspectives to reflect the diversity of the RSE community and its activities. Participants can expect to meet and network with other RSEs and research software experts, and learn from presentations in different formats that contribute meaningfully to research software engineering and related fields.
Focus Areas¶
This year, the conference defines three focus areas:
- RSEng in the Age of Generative and Agentic AI
- RSE Research: Software Engineering Research on Research Software (Engineering)
- Research Software Security
Contributors are invited to submit specifically to one of these three areas, as well as contributions on topics connected to deRSE/research software engineering in general.
Interested in contributing? The organising committee invites submissions for talks, posters, and demos, as well as interactive formats like tutorials, workshops, meet-ups and hackathons.
